Friends of Roper Lake State Park
Friends of Roper Lake
Our purpose is to support Roper Lake State Park in its time of need, and work towards a State Park which is open to the public at affordable prices, provides a safe environment to explore the nature and wonders of a portion of southeastern Arizona, and protect the cultural and recreation environment for our heritage. We are tireless in our efforts to support sustenable State Park revenues which would keep our Parks open, and improve the infrastructure so the park may be preserved for ages to come. Our non-profit organization serves people of all races, creeds, and religions. We do not discriminate. We merely support our fellow citizens, and serve as a guiding light.

The Friends of Roper Lake State Park was chartered on March 23, 2010. We recognize, not only the intrinsic quality of life our Park provides for our consumers, but the financial contirbution it makes to the neighboring County and State. Almost $6,000,000 is generated in revenue in Graham County, analagous to 80 jobs which would be lost, if it should ever close. At the State level, the State Park system brings in almost $300,000,000 dollars in tourism dollars.
